This was the Adventure Outdoors parking lot car show last year put on by the Smyrna Lions. This was dad's 1st trophy and 1st show ever. It's not a show truck but a driver. But dad said might as well enter it while I'm hanging around.

Nice! Those are bad ass trucks. In 78-79 they were the fastest 0-100mph American made vehicles, the only truck that can make that claim. Hard to believe it could outrun the Corvettes and all other American sports cars made those year's, and even some foreign sports cars too.

78's were a tad faster due to less emission controls. There are a little over 2000 78's made and about 5200 79's. Dad bought this one new. It's going to my son according to my dad. Lol! I said I'm your favorite son, and he said I only have one grandson though. Hahaha! It's all good though.

My dad sent this to me. He won 1st place Best Truck Saturday 6/17. Every show he enters he gets a plaque. I think he's hooked on the car show circuit now!
