Like the title says, how many mags are enough mags for your pistol? Your rifle?

Depends on the gun... 10/22 mags are cheap and tend to wear out, so I treat them as if they're consumable items (specifically referring to Butler Creek mags).

Carry gun is a G26, so the G17 mags overlap and I don't care about having more than two for the little carry gun.

AR mags... 10 minimum, or 5 per rifle.

SP5K... they're damn expensive. I only have the two mags that came with it.

I'm trying to decide how many mags to buy for my Z43p. I have 5 right now and a decent deal on 5 more popped up, just debating whether I need them or not given the current political climate.

I have 5 UMP mags so far.

Also, very jealous of that SP5K

I bought the SET AR mags just to have a way to identify my 300 BO mags.

KISS principle fully in use!

10 is a nice round number, that's per gun!

My thought is on a range trip I'm not reloading mags! That's for sitting in front of the TV!

I typically keep A MINIMUM of 6 mags per gun type. That's the chest rig full and one for the weapon. But I prefer to have more. More is always better.

I just had that issue with my 10/22 mages. I do believe they not made to keep loaded, that flat tape spring seems to get weak. Its a pisser that Ruger since they come apart would sell the internals.Thing is my rugers failed before the bulter creek.I use the steel lips ones

There is a simple formula for how many mags you need for each gun.

x = y + 1 Where x is the number of mags you need and y is the number of mags you have.

I have 5 for my M&P and I’ll pick up a couple more if I find a good deal. If not I’m ok with 5.

I have two for my Glock 43 but want a couple more.

I don’t know how many for my AR, at least 40 and I still buy one or two a month when I see a deal.

I need a bunch more for my .22 pistol though. Like I want at least 10 total.

How do you store/transport your mags?

I use these for AR and AK. Black for AR and tan for AK. Holds 13 mags I think?

Has a nice window so you can label the caliber/etc.

The "wallets" on the same page work great for pistol mags.

Free shipping over $35.
