I am... can't do the blade steel in that picture though.

I looked at some damascus at the show. The billets were just way too expensive. Like $75 to $100 for not to fancy damascus

LOL, I don't expect the Damascus Steel. That's just the style of knife, I'd like, if you're willing to do it. At one point I had some knife Steel around here, but since I moved, I have no idea where it is. I also has some nice wood handle material as well.

Notron Blaze belt... more expensive than the ones I've been using. Maybe it lasts? Not sure yet, but this damn belt stinks bad. Might not even use the other two i bought.

It's here! Saw guys doing demos with these at the show. It made such a big difference in surface finish, i was sold.

Rotary platten attachment for the grinder.

Stubbies about ready to go in the forge. Got to finish the round parts in the handles... i haven't straightened them out on a 1" diameter small wheel yet.

And the trizac belts. These have raised little rectangles and leave a much better looking surface.

Haven't updated in a while... got to run the forge a bit this morning. Hot weather really makes you not want to light a 2000 degree open ended tube.

Starting to get the scale cleaned off, and then into the oven for temper. I think I'm going to leave 1 stubby as-fired.

And after two 2 hour cycles at 400F, they look like this.

I'm really looking forward to running these on the new belts and rotary platten. I hope that ends up with a nice looking surface finish.

After first two hours-

And finished-

Work in progress... i really didn't mean to end up with so many knives in this group.

One giant kitchen knife, one bushcrafter, one damn tanto, one bolster knife as practice, and 5 little PSK knives.

Curious as to what y'all like- forge finish or shiny finish on the little stubby?
