Hey, I had a TW200. I loved it. It was really geared too low for highway use, but it did alright on back road and dominated trails.

I like the DRZ 400. I think it’s an all around good dual sport. Not great on the highway but around these 2 lanes they are awesome.

That TW200 is a bit small for my manly frame I believe. Why is the VStorm a better bike? Is it the suspension? DR650 is probably a bitch to ride on the roads tho... I'm thinking my purpose would be to ride around north Georgia and find trails, and camp over a weekend.

The Vstrom is a twin cylinder. While it lacks the torque of the KLR, the fact of the matter is the KLR has too much torque and not enough horsepower.

The KLR was capable at speeds of 100 MPH+ however I never felt comfortable on it above about 65. The Vstrom can cruise on the freeway all day.

Both the KLR and VStrom are geared more towards the roads than the trail, but both will fair well off road as long as it doesn't get too hairy. They are both a bit heavy for serious off road use. The Vstrom is just more pleasant to ride on the roads.
