The only export customers were Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Another furrin aircraft....English Electric Lightning.

Note the stacked engines...quite unusual. They provided a small front view and no yawing if one failed in flight. They were very "hot ships" in their day - with sparkling performance.

Note the over wing fuel tanks - another unusual feature. The early Lightning was a little short legged - as it was never designed designed to fly on long strike missions. It excelled as a point defense fighter though. The bulged belly was yet another fuel tank that was added to the later Mark F.6 models.

The early test models were quite sleek & clean, but the production models had many upgrades during production. Adding more range was addressed by the wing tanks and belly tank. Note the smooth under-side compared to the later models shown.

Argentina was a big user - their Skyhawks saw a lot of action during the Falklands War in 1982.

In the 1990s they bought surplus Skyhawks (to replace their war losses) from the US. The aircraft had been flown by the US Marines Corps. They were rebuilt, upgraded and turned into the A-4R FightingHawks. Which were retired just a few years ago - due in part to budget cuts and spare parts shortages.

They are still used as aggressor aircraft to simulate small, fast and agile aircraft such as the MiG 17s & 19s. Here is one paired with German Eurofighter Typhoon.
