Well, it typically would be Captain Doug. But you can have at it.
That sounds boring; It doesn't have the same panache of something like "Blackbeard", "Black Bart", or "Captain Jack Sparrow" :)

It was a steel bottomed boat that was pretty old. The interior was pretty new and refurbished. The previous owner bought a $200k house boat as it’s replacement.

Nice... I didn't imagine there would be too may "bad houseboats" up that way.

I can definitely see where repairing a steel hull would be a losing battle in the long run.

I’m working on my Captains license and will be doing even more in the upcoming weeks, months and potentially years on this lake.
Six pack or a legit masters license?

OUPV first (6pack) then upgrade to a masters possibly later depending on the need. Right now I don’t see a need for the master, unless I move out to the coast.
How far along are ya?
Gonna just sit for the six pack at the REC or do one of the schools that fulfills requirements?

Okay, so @1776 will be your first mate, but he doesn't need a cool name, he'll just be Captain's mate .... but we have to come up with something good for you

That's awesome, Doug. I'm glad to see you doing something that's a complete 180. Congrats on your new venture and enjoy the ride.
