Since there is a similar thread about the more expensive tactical ammo, does anyone have any good cheap stuff? I currently use 00 magnum loads.. my question is, what is cheap so I can purchase 1000 or more rounds of it?

I've used this before. Never failed to go bang. I don't know how it would cycle in an auto since I was using a pump. I will say this, the way the shell is capped off instead of rolled and crimped, its a tad longer than an unfired standard 2 3/4" shells. Once the 2 3/4 standard shell has been fired and it opens on the end it is the same length as one of these that has been fired. So, it could throw off your cycling and it will throw off your capacity. I got -1 in my pump.

On a regular basis, no buck shot is 'cheap'.

Federal LE buck shot w/ flight control wad, was dumped on the market back in March, but it's probably gone by now.

Your choices now are Rio & Sellier & Belott for now. Check Midway for S&B. SGAmmo for Federal.

I stocked up on Winchester Super-X a while back when midway had a sale on it. I think I paid right at $0.70 per round.

I know I've seen WalMart sell the Mil-serp. 00 buck. I know it might be a little cheaper to buy it in bulk, but I like to buy SD shot gun ammo, just a few boxes at a time, that way I can mix up what I have for SD shotgun ammo.

I was getting estate from academy and PSA for about $10box. I don't think either of them has it in stock at the moment, I bought a bunch of it and shot a couple boxes just to try it. It works.

I've got several hundred rounds of this stuff- ran through my pump 870 and 590 just fine. I think it was going for $80 per 250 from Midway when I ordered it- I've seen them repeat that sale a couple of times.

Federal #7 shot is like $21 bucks per hundred at walmart. I have shot thousands of them without any issues. For scenarious where i would grab a shotgun over a rifle, it will do anything i could need.

Wow !!! Very cool, I never knew about cut shells... I wounder if they would work in a semi-auto shotgun?
If you follow the video series, they show you how to cut the end off the shell, dump shot and mix with hot wax then spoon back in. The set up runs very well through semi auto.
