Ax Restoration

Does anyone do legacy ax restoration? I have an ax from each of my grandfathers. They’re probably 75 years old or more. I don’t want them to lose their character but I would like to make them an heirloom. Does anyone have any recommendations where to go for this? Thanks.

@2Glocks has done some axes with amazing results... more factory new than preserving character... but he may have some thoughts. Gone camping right now i think.

Got any photos? What do you typically charge?
I want to keep a lot of the character and history of the ax, especially the handle. Knowing this was the handle that each of my grandfathers gripped is special when I grip it.

Here are some pics, before and after a should be clear so I’m not gonna label them. A lot of the final product depends onthe condition they are in when I get it. Also, the mirror finish is extremely dependent on pitting in the head
