I have never loaded that cartridge, but I thing CFE 223 or BL-C(2) would be good places to start if you have any laying around. I could cloverleaf Hornady 62 gr spbt and BL-C(2) from a bolt action .223 that I once owned. The twist in that rifle was 1 in 12, and the barrel was 24 or 26 inches, can't remember that for sure. The cases were super match prepped and weighed also and the runout kept below .003

Thanks for the input Iam weighing the cases and sorting them by weight. I think I'm going to try some Vaeget one set with 44 grains one set 45 grains and one with 45.5 grains.

We believe the Sinclair Concentricity Gauge is the easiest to use and most accurate gauge of its kind on the market. Precision made for a lifetime of use, the Sinclair Concentricity Gauge will accept cases up to 50 BMG.

The Sinclair Concentricity Gauge is used to measure runout by rotating the case or loaded round on two sets of bearings that are captured in anodized aluminum blocks. These bearing blocks are adjustable longitudinally to allow for different case lengths or varying lengths of loaded rounds. The handloader can measure sized cases on the neck, and measure loaded rounds on the neck or out on the bullet. The bearing blocks ride in a milled slot in the gauge base plate. This milled slot keeps the blocks in alignment with each other.

This arrangement provides the best support for the cartridge, enabling the user to spin the cartridge smoothly. Large thumb levers on the bearing blocks make adjustments quick and easy. The anodized base plate is extremely stable allowing the user to take accurate readings. The indicator tower is designed to permit vertical and side-to-side adjustment of the dial indicator. The mounting block for the dial indicator is designed to accommodate dial indicators with standard 0.375" mounts. This is a quality measuring tool for the serious precision reloader.

Also cut the burrs out of you flash holes inside the cases unless using premium cases with drilled flash holes. I use to shoot Varget in my common rifle calibers, .308, 30-06 .223, 7mm-08, and it worked great in all of them. The problem was huge variations between lots. One batch that I got was showing extractor marks on the brass and completely flat primers with a below max load that I had been shooting for about 4 years. I have switched over to IMR 4064 for all of those calibers except .223, and have had great luck with all, better accuracy than even Varget, although it does not meter as well. If I did not shoot a Garand I would settle on another bulk powder than 4064 due to poor metering. I have a Redding powder measure that is only used for loading M1 ammo.

Well there is another toy I will be ordering. Thank you for sharing. Not many people shoot the old 6mm BR Rem any more. I went with 30,31 and 32 gr of varget. Now I guess I need some imr 4064. I use imr 3031 I'm my 223.

How much 3031 are you running with 55's? If I didn't shoot milsurp M1's I would use a ball powder for easy metering thru a progressive.

Hornady has a concentricity tool that will allow you to straighten out the rounds on the tool instead of using a hole in the bench top.
