Winchester has ceased production of all .357SIG ammo, according to an industry source of mine. They converted all their .357SIG production over to 9mm.

Additionally, Winchester has converted part of their .40S&W line over to 9mm. I found this to be significant, in that Winchester developed the .40S&W and was the first commercial loader for it.

Quite possibly, this could cause an increase in the price of .357SIG and .40S&W ammunition.

Sure reloading will still be available. I felt the need many years ago for .357 SIG but never drank the koolaid. If this comes to fruition the gun market will be flooded with people dumping the pistols both in .357 SIG and fotays! Hell, most days you cant give a fotay away!

I've always really liked .357 sig, but I've only owned one a G31. Great cartridge. It was pretty darned accurate and definitely has some reliability advantages given the cartridge geometry. Heed Dugan Ashley's warning though...it'll definitely give you nerve damage, lol.

.40 is only good during ammo shortages. After Sandy Hook you could walk in pretty much anywhere that sold ammo and find plenty of .40 on the shelves. .357 Sig is fun but has always been on the expensive side. I used to own a couple of .357 Sig guns but sold them all off in favor of 10mm. The only one I regret selling was a Sig Nightmare 1911 chambered in .357 Sig. That was a fun little unique blaster.
