Any luck? If it makes you feel better I clean missed a layup on a really big doe today. Was only 50 yards and I had my ar10.
Awe man, that's sucks. How'd you manage that? Buck fever?

I didn't go look today. I called the guy and he said he'd look when they came down. I said he could have it if it was still good.

I'm back out tonight. I just sat here and watched 2 small doe play while two big ones ate. I could tell which one was the mom or of both were so I just watched them play for 10 minutes then they walked on. Still waiting...

I checked my zero tonight. Dead nuts. I was wearing gloves and pulled it. Wont happen tomorrow.

I missed on opening archery day. I literally watched the lighted nock fly over the shoulder of a motionless deer at a distance I had practiced at for months. I swore the same. That sucked. This one hurts. I put a mechanical broadhead with 2" blades through a deer's chest and into the ground. There's a definitive blood trail that leads me to a blood puddle 300 yards away with no signs or blood trails leaving that location. I'm moving on at this point but this one perplexes me.

I found a nice, fresh scrape this morning. About midday I set up a blind about 25 years away. I'm going to let it sit a few days and let them get used to it before I hunt here.

It's been a weird season so far. Nowhere near the volume of last year

I seen more deer this year than last year. That was until doe season opened up. Everything I see is right out of shooting capabilities. I need to let the goats loose after deer season to clear out some under brush.

Hoping tomorrow morning will be the turning point for me.
