Early 00's Maserati Cambiocorsa?
Maintenance is really fucking bad.....but it's a Ferrari engine mated to a dumpster fire transmission...with a rear seat...
The Porsche has a rear seat too. I bought some tools for basic maintenance and diagnostics. The fucking thing takes 9L of synthetic oil every oil change and tires are $1k a pop. It's all paid off though, so there's that.

Cambiocorsa rear seat is more usable than a 996

I bet oio can work on it though. And maybe offer a SET discount.
I can and I have worked on many 951s years ago, but unless it has an engine swap (Audi 2.2T, VW VR6T, Chevy LS, etc) it’s a pain in the ass and maintenance is not only expensive but you have to do it often.
The timing belt/water pump/rollers/balance shaft belt/etc every 30k miles is $2500, clutch job $2000. Can’t really go over 350hp reliably without building the motor. Parts are not that high but labor is

For under $25k there are a few BMWs that are good for temporary use:
The Z4M from 06-07 (I think) are overall good, maintenance is not bad besides the valve adjustment you need every 15k mi at around $400. Great engine and trans.
The 07-09 M5 and M6 can be found with 6spd manual, they’re fast stock, but maintenance can be pretty high (cam adjusters and other shit, rods can fail and motor blows at 80k-120k mi if oil was changed at 15k mi like factory manual and dealer says)
Some of the 550i and 650i models come in 6spd manual and under $15k, but have plenty of issues though.
I wouldn’t get the regular 2010-2015 Mustang GT because the manual transmissions are junk and they fail often, some have been upgraded to the better ones and if so, they’re otherwise good.

Others:
C5 corvettes have massive potential (with mods)
The BRZ/FRS handle good but that’s about it, better to get a Honda S2000.
370Z is pretty good and cheap.
Only Porsche I would recommend under $25k if you could find a 2010-2011 Boxster or Cayman with the newer engines (that no longer have the IMS issues)
