    SET Golfing tips and stories

Never played much golf. One of the few times was when I was in graduate school in Illinois. Playing a real short par 3 course. We each had I believe a 2 iron, a 7 iron, a PW & putter. Oh and flasks, of course. I had finished on flask & started on another when we got to the 9th (final) hole. I...

    Going to Buy a Treadmill

They're great for giving a big dog a workout when you can't get them out. I've trained every German Shepherd I've had to use a treadmill. It was especially wonderful after my stroke because I could get this guy a workout every day even when I couldn't walk.

    Tape Measures... What's your pick?

I always had good luck with Lufkin. They (at least used to) label them as having at least a 10 ft standout. But I haven't bought one in over a decade, so I have no experience with current models.

    Binoculars

Good to know. Since my stroke my hands are way less stable. If my money gets good enough, these may be what I need.

    Does anyone here bowl?

I recognize them all, so I must be so old I'm dead.

    Does anyone here bowl?

Seriously? Bowling? I can say the same thing about bowling that I can about golf. I've done both, but never sober.

    Grubhub

I always circle the lot when I see a long drivethru line to take a peek inside. It's usually empty. We go in, order, get our stuff, leave. My grandnephew thinks it's hilarious.

Econ Dollar Tree finacial news not good

Yeah, I grew up in NC with Family Dollar stores around and they were not impressive. The only thing I remember them having going for them was they were in a lot of little towns that literally had no place else to get things.

Sorry to hear this, but good for you for looking down the road to protect yourself.

Econ Dollar Tree finacial news not good

I wonder if the improving economy has anything to do with this. Better economy = better jobs and/or pay = no more shopping at the dollar store maybe?

    NEW Sig Wizards Sleeve

This is why I ask questions. The only 'room clearing' I've ever been involved in was when I was a bartender/bouncer in a biker bar in Colorado. That mainly involved 'hickory shampoos' administered with cut down ax handles. :fish:

    NEW Sig Wizards Sleeve

I guess I just don't get it. If I'm going to give up being able to holster it, I don't see a little more barrel hurting anything. But hell, I can't afford one anyway so my opinion is pretty meaningless.

    NEW Sig Wizards Sleeve

That's kinda my point though. This gun is already so large why not go to 4 or 4.5 inch barrel. I realize those gains would be marginal, but they'd be there and it doesn't seem to me it would have any effect on the handling of the weapon Now, it it was threaded and the assumption was a...

    NEW Sig Wizards Sleeve

I get that. I guess for me it would be worth the extra three hundred for the PSB. Yeah, it weighs a pound and a half more but you get a 4.5" barrel, the brace is 3 position vs. fixed and 30rd capacity. :noidea:
