Ran 10 miles of hills at Turkey Mountain yesterday. Turned 52 today. I always try to do a "birthday run", as I remember my uncle Don (Korean War Vet) running 7 miles on his 50th birthday. He was a great dad, husband, friend. One of the better influences and role models in my life. RIP Don.

Ran 5.4 at Turkey yesterday. The cold weather - I'm kinda like Laufen, except a little less tolerant of it. Used to, when I'd run in sub-freezing temps, I'd cough the rest of the day. Now that rarely happens. When I was training for that 50K last winter, it got down into the 20s one "long run"...

Yep - and when I was running at the park, it was because I needed cardio. Once I switched to trails, it's because I love it.

Same here. I turn 52 next week, but my cohorts are all in their mid-thirties, It's fun to give them something to aspire to, lol. The upside to it is, when you beat those young guys, you can brag. When they beat you, you get to say, yeah, but I'm an old man.... Didn't run this weekend, did a...

Good time, dude! I've been off a week with lower back pain. I took 2nd place at Pecos RunNGun, but jammed my back in the process. (that was Sept) Kinda ran so-so since, until I decided some time off would be the best thing. Maybe get back to it next week, but I won't be running at your pace!
