Morning SE guys.....got alarm call around 3AM so back at work already. Night before last a guy that works here got arrested for 1st degree murder. Seems he shot his daughter's boyfriend and another guy. They've charged him and his wife with 1st....so I'm sure there's a LOT to the story.

LOL, we share very similar tastes. Read "The Forgotten Soldier", I presume? I've had the chance to meet a lot of WW2 vets in my life - as a younger man I even met a few German vets. I guess they're about all gone now. It's a shame, really.

It was just nice not to see the usual BS being rammed down our throats....the idea that "other" soldiers are human beings is intentionally countered in media. It's a crock, and any attempt to get around that gets my support. Plus K98s.

Have you seen "My Honor Was Loyalty"? New flick by an independent producer about some SS guys at the end of the war. Not political, simply a soldier's story.

Not foreign, but maybe obscure these days- shot my deer killer yesterday. Built a couple years ago on the Renegade I’ve had since 1989.

Actually thought about buying a 5 or 10 rounder - the 30s are a PIA in a deer stand.....but they make for cool pics.

Depends on the run - ours we shoot to 500, so I may run my M1a, Pecos is out to 300, Waco about 400. I haven't decided on the 500 yet, I know it's possible (20x30 steel silhouette), but haven't shot this AK at that distance since the mods. I tried it before, and it was no dice.

So far, so good, I like being able to get the correct LOP for a good sight picture, also, it raises my head up to scope level without the need for cheek riser. I run/shoot biathlons, and I plan on using this for that, so basically it'll get the hell beat out of it starting in January...

ALG trigger, Muzzle brake, notched safety, new recoil spring, stock and handguard - all from Rob Ski. RS Regulate scope mount, Primary Arms 1-6 optic. Almost went with NF instead of PA, but didn't want to be pretentious. @Toothpick

Ran the Pecos Run N Gun two weeks ago. Been running 3x a week since I got back. Been training with weights at lunch since last Monday. Had bicep/tendon problems in one arm then the other for almost a year, so easing into it.

I don't know where to kayak over there, but if you ever start catfishing or running jugs I can help you out. I bought my kayak in 2016, shortly thereafter I sold my boat, haven't looked back.

I do that - it's very hard to maintain weight/muscle when training for some of these long runs. As soon as I finish an med-long run, I'm downing a Core Protein milk from the nearest QT. I eat tons of meat, so that helps. I've sworn off anything longer than 15 miles...it's just a killer if you...
