Are NASCAR Fans Pro 2A or Pro Gun Control

They forgot the history of the sport. It started with bootleggers outrunning the law to make a dollar.
Wait- nascar doesn't like guns now? Fuck, they may as well quit selling beer at races too.

Back between about 2004-2010, NASCAR was the fastest growing spectator sport in America. It was expanding all over the place & pushing to lose its "Southern" identity. How much of this growth was just because it was starting from a regional small base? Who know? Your growth % can look great when you're picking up all the race fans in areas never served before. But that can easily top out. I'm sure they picked up fans in many other states, but I don't think there was ever a chance of being a "national" sport. But I think many of the big players in NASCAR are still dreaming that dream. And this is probably apart of that. JMHO.

I think that it was rather spot on. The NFL, NBA, MLB, FIFA, etc. are a religion to many more yahoos. My point is that love for a league is not the same and being someone whom enjoys sporting events. With the huge headache and expense that going to a major stadium/NASCAR event has become, coupled with enduring airport like security, I would rather just go watch the local college baseball team or catch a short track race. Both of which are easier to attend and much cheaper. Sure there will be NFL worshippers, but NASCAR will decline as the NFL has declined if they choose to take political positions contrary to much of their fan base, especially the ones buying tickets. By the way, there are some troublemakers at short track races like everywhere, but those races are a lot of fun and the people there are generally a bunch of good working people who are great to be around. Atlanta Motor Speedway has several races other than NASCAR that are a great show without the huge crowds and insane prices.
Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure NASCAR has the worst of the so called 2nd amendment rights supporters... A bunch of FUDDS who think that only hunters should have their rights protected. And, BTW, Atlanta United won again last night!
Braves beat the Mets last night too in 14 innings longest game this year for them.
Honestly, many of the current sponsors have contributed to more deaths than guns ever will. I say let NASCAR do what they will. They almost bit the dust over their Car Of Tomorrow phase as well as changing tire compounds and other aspects of the sport to try and attract and keep fans.
